Age Requirements
- 17 years old
Academic Requirements
Applicants must hold or have taken one of the following:
- Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Examination in English and achieved at least two H2 passes, one H1 pass, and attempted either General Paper (GP) or Knowledge & Inquiry (KI)
- Formal International Year 12 Education
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma awarded by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO)
- Polytechnic Diploma in any field of study from a local polytechnic in Singapore
- BTEC level 4 HNC in any field of study
- An approved Diploma or Advanced Diploma from a private education institution in Singapore. Minimum entry requirements for the diploma should be either a GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent, or Nitec, Higher Nitec or equivalent.
English Proficiency Requirements
- Students must have completed high school with a passing grade in English.
- If English was not the primary language of instruction or was taken as a second language, applicants must provide either an IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent English language qualification.
Mature Applicants
- Mature applicants must be at least 30 years old with 8 years of working experience after graduating from Junior College.
- To apply, submit a 200-word Personal Statement and two referee reports (at least one from an employer). Shortlisted applicants may be interviewed.
Accreditation of prior learning (APL) / credit exemption
- Students with prior qualifications may be eligible for credit exemption or Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). These exemptions are subject to approval by the Amity Examination Board and are determined on a case-by-case basis.
The following qualifications are eligible for consideration:
- Polytechnic Diploma holder in a relevant field of study from a local polytechnic in Singapore.
- An approved Diploma or Advanced Diploma from private education institutions in Singapore, with prior entry requirements equivalent to the GCE ‘A’ Level Examination (or equivalent) at the time of admission to the qualifying Diploma.
- The transcript from your diploma course must demonstrate that you have read and passed the equivalents of essential Amity Diploma modules. APL is approved by the Examination Board of Amity Maximum credits for APL approval will not greater than 50%.
