Position Overview
The Senior Lecturer in Communication and Business Management is a key academic position within the department of an educational institution. Principal Accountabilities
Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Conducting lectures, seminars, and workshops on various topics in communication and business management at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Developing course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Ensuring that the curriculum aligns with current industry practices and academic standards.
- Providing guidance and supervision to students on their research projects and dissertations.
- Be part of the Academic / Examination Boards or any Advisory Boards
Research and Scholarship
- Engaging in independent research activities and publishing scholarly articles in reputable journals.
- Participating in conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay updated with the latest developments in the field of business management.
- Collaborating with colleagues and industry professionals on research projects and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Student Support and Mentoring
- Providing academic guidance and mentoring to students, including advising them on career paths and opportunities.
- Assisting students in developing their critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback on assignments and assessments.
- Supervising student placements, internships, and practical projects.
Assessment Duties
- Designing and implementing various assessment methods, including exams, assignments, case studies, presentations, and group projects.
- Grading and providing timely feedback to students on their assessments.
- Ensuring fair and consistent assessment practices in accordance with the institution’s guidelines.
- Keeping records of student grades and performance.
Academic Qualifications
- Minimum a Master’s in Communication or a related field.
Minimum Professional Qualifications
Teaching qualifications, e.g. Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) and Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) will also be an added advantage.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in higher education
- A strong track record of teaching and research.
- Expertise in specific areas of communication, such as marketing, branding, digital media and digital storytelling.
- Proven ability to engage and inspire students through effective teaching methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research skills and a demonstrated ability to publish in reputable academic journals.

Teaching rate:

Job Description: Doctor of Education Dissertation Supervisor
Position Overview
You will receive monthly payments based on the total hours of supervision provided. You are required to submit a monthly progress report using the designated online platform to document the supervision conducted. The Academic Director will review and verify the progress reports and supervision hours before forwarding them to management for approval.
Principal Accountabilities
• Supervision: Provide 40 hours of supervision over 36 months.
• Monthly Meetings: Conduct regular meetings to monitor student progress and offer guidance.
• Progress Reports: Submit a brief monthly progress report for each student.
• Key Areas of Guidance:
1. Proposal Refinement: Help students refine research proposals, including objectives and design.
2. Literature Review: Assist with comprehensive literature reviews and theoretical framework development.
3. Methodology Development: Guide students in drafting methodology and preparing ethics approval.
4. Pilot Study & Data Collection: Oversee pilot studies and provide feedback during data collection.
