This diploma is designed to be completed in 08 months. It comprises six core computing modules, each focusing on a specific area of computing. Computer Operating Systems: This module provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles, applications, structure, and design of operating systems. You’ll explore various operating systems, their functionalities, and their role in managing computer resources.
Computer Modern Networks: This module explores the technologies and protocols used in modern networks, including both hardware and software components. You’ll learn how to design, implement, and manage networks, gaining practical skills in network programming and configuration.

Age Requirements
- Minimum 17 years old (based on date of birth), at point of course commencement
Academic Requirements
To be eligible for the Advanced Diploma in Computing, you must hold one of the following:
- Diploma in Computing from Amity Global Institute
- Polytechnic Diploma in the relevant of study from a local polytechnic in Singapore
- BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Computing
- BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Information Technology (IT)
- An approved Diploma or Advanced Diploma from a private education institution in Singapore. Your previous qualification must have required at least a GCE ‘A’ Level or equivalent for entry, and your transcript must show that you have passed the equivalents of the essential Amity’s Diploma in Computing modules.
- A pass in Year 1 modules of the Bachelor’s degree programme that required the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Examination (with at least two H2 passes, one H1 pass, and attempted General Paper or Knowledge & Inquiry) for entry
- A Bachelor’s degree transcript must demonstrate that you have passed the equivalents of essential modules in Amity’s Diploma in Business Administration. Acceptable Bachelor’s degree may be offered by:
- Singapore Universities
- Private Education Institutions (through External Degree Programme)
- University in their home country
- Overseas University
English Proficiency Requirements
- Students must have completed high school with a passing grade in English.
- If English was not the primary language of instruction or was taken as a second language, applicants must provide either an IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent English language qualification.
Mature Applicants
- Mature applicants must be at least 30 years old with 8 years of working experience after graduating from Junior College.
- To apply, submit a 200-word Personal Statement and two referee reports (at least one from an employer). Shortlisted applicants may be interviewed.
Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
- Polytechnic Diploma Holder in the relevant field of study from a local polytechnic in Singapore
- An approved Diploma or Advanced Diploma from a private education institution in Singapore. Your previous qualification must have required at least a GCE ‘A’ Level or equivalent in the Diploma Level in the relevant field of study
- The transcript from your diploma course must demonstrate that you have passed the equivalents of essential Amity Diploma modules. APL is approved by the Examination Board of Amity
- Maximum credits for APL approval will not be greater than 50%
