About the Conference
Amity Global Institute International Conference is a biannual event held to coincide with the
Study Abroad Programme of Amity University, India. Students, both undergraduate and
postgraduate, together with visiting Faculty from Amity University attend the conference as
part of the Study Abroad Programme to Singapore. Amity University is a globally ranked
comprehensive University with ten campuses in India. Amity Global Institute in Singapore is
a one of the global campuses within the Amity University network.
Each conference is a platform for experts to share to these Study Abroad Programme
participants, their knowledge and insights on issues concerning the latest global and
business trends that shape the global business environment. Conference attendees also include students and staff of Amity Global Institute, and some members of the public.
Synopsis
Careers and jobs are undergoing disruptive changes in the contemporary fourth industrial
revolution. Many global megatrends, such as globalisation, emergence of global regulation,
climate change, emphasis on social responsibility, increasing diversity in the workforce,
shifts in cultural norms and values, and technological advancements are influencing the
form, function and perceptions of jobs and careers. The conference is a platform for experts
in the field to share their insights, knowledge and research on the latest issues and
perspectives on jobs and careers in view of Industry 4.0 and in an increasingly disruptive and
globalised business environment.
