Overview
Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
The Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management aims to develop proactive managers who are confident in managing projects and business improvement of functional areas through effective leadership. It will allow learner to follow a programme of management study containing a considerable element of specialism related to the supply chain of both local and multinational companies.
This course will also provide both pre-experience career preparation and post-experience career progression opportunities for learners from any disciplinary background at first degree level, but with the aspiration to enter or progress more rapidly in careers in logistics management or business. It will build on their existing skills and capabilities to develop Master level knowledge and skills in the business and logistics management field, enhancing their employability and future career prospects.
Learners will develop a strong, conceptual and theoretical understanding of logistics management issues, problems and opportunities, and gain the skills, analytic techniques and tools to make a significant sustained contribution to the achievement of employer goals. The programme enables learners to link theory into practice by a variety of methods, including case studies, business simulations, the completion of an applied research project and, in some cases, by means of a work-based learning component.
Learners will follow a core programme of study designed to broaden and reinforce their management knowledge in areas of managing operations, project management, risk and resilience, and the internet of things. They will additionally cover a range of topics such as international logistics, applied logistics, procurement and supply, strategic issues in logistics and sustainability and environment.

Award for this Programme
To be eligible for the award of Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, students must successfully complete 120 credit modules and the 60-credit dissertation.

Age Requirements
- 20 years old
English Requirements
- Certificate in English: Upper-Intermediate/ EAP05 Advanced English for Academic Learning II with a score of 80 or above (equal to IELTS 6.5-7.0).
Academic Requirements
- A recognised first or second-class honours degree (or equivalent).
Mature Applicants
Applicants who are at least 30 years of age with at least 8 years of working experience. To qualify as a mature applicant, you are required to submit a Personal Statement of not more than 200 words and 2 Referee Reports from at least one employer. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
