Programme description and learning outcomes:
This course is designed to provide students with key knowledge and skills in Business and Management:
Through a combination of lectures, seminars and coursework, students will develop proficiency in utilising material commonly used in business and management. The courses will be also incorporate soft skills that will enhance employability, with significant group work, presentations and written coursework, all part of assessments.
Applicants will gain a solid foundation in core business and management principles, mastering the concepts, frameworks and applications that underpin how modern organisations operate.
A comprehensive understanding and awareness of business and management theory and practice via lectures, seminars, and workshops. The teaching is backed by the latest research and real-world business cases, ensuring students are up to speed with industry trends. There is the opportunity to develop comprehension of current theories, but also to develop critical skills for adapting to new environments.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Age Requirements
- 20 years old
Academic Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in any topic with (2:2 minimum or equivalent) or Postgraduate Diploma or other equivalent.
English Requirements
If Medium of Instruction for the highest qualification is not English, IELTS 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components) is required. Equivalencies are accepted. Test date should be within 2 years of the course start date.
Mature Applicants
Candidates who are at least 30 years of age with at least 8 years of working experience. To qualify as a mature candidate, you are required to submit a Personal Statement of not more than 200 words and 2 Referee Reports from at least one employer. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
PGDM progression and APL position
Amity Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) graduates who meet UEA’s admissions requirements are eligible to apply for the MSc Business Management programme delivered at the UEA Norwich campus. Upon completion of PGDM, students will be exempted from 4 modules and will be required to study 5 modules at the M.Sc in Business Management level.
