Master of Science in Business Analytics

The Master of Science (MSc) in Business Analytics will equip the learners with the techniques and analytical tools required to understand and engage with complex data with the aim of enhancing business performance. This programme has been designed to help learners gain the skills and qualifications needed to pursue a career in business analytics. Business analytics is an area where employers are finding it increasingly difficult to recruit graduates with the right qualifications and skills. There is an increasing demand for skills, but also a significant gap between current graduates’ analytical skills and employers’ needs.
By completing the MSc in Business Analytics in Singapore, learners will improve their employability skills by gaining the expertise required to analyse data, improve decision-making, enhance critical thinking and help companies gain a competitive advantage. Moreover, the programme enables learners to enhance their knowledge of core themes such as business intelligence, information systems theories and some of the related techniques, information systems strategy, digital innovation, and fundamentals of project management. Furthermore, learners will be able to gain the necessary research skills as part of the final dissertation module – Business Research Project – to pursue further studies at the doctoral level, if they choose to do so.

Award for this Programme
To be eligible for the award of Master of Science in Business Analytics, students must successfully complete 120 credit modules and the 60-credit dissertation.

English Requirements
- Certificate in English: Upper-Intermediate/ EAP05 Advanced English for Academic Learning II with a score of 80 or above (equal to IELTS 6.5-7.0).
Academic Requirements
- A recognised first or second-class honours degree (or equivalent).
Mature Applicants
Applicants who are at least 30 years of age with at least 8 years of working experience. To qualify as a mature applicant, you are required to submit a Personal Statement of not more than 200 words and 2 Referee Reports from at least one employer. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
